Geertrui Spaepen is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Comparative Human Development. Before joining the PhD program, Geertrui earned an MA from the MAPSS program, a BA from Harvard College, and worked for several years as a lab manager and research assistant at Harvard's Cognitive Evolution Laboratory. Her research interests include women's health, preventative medicine, and human and non-human primate behavior in the context of biopsychology. Geertrui served as the Associate Ombudsperson for the 2007 - 2008 academic year.

Jessica Dragonetti, Associate Ombudsperson

Jessica Dragonetti is a fourth-year student in the College, studying Anthropology and Near Eastern Languages & Civilizations. Her research interests include patriotism, nationalism, citizenship, and modern Turkey. For the last two years, Jessica has worked in the Office of the Dean of Students in the Graham School, and as a Metcalf Fellow last summer for the Chicago Opera Theater, she designed an opera- and arts-based curriculum for elementary schools. Jessica looks forward to applying her past experiences to her new position as Associate Ombudsperson in 2008 - 2009.
