About the Student Ombuds Office
Meet the Staff
Adriel Ghadoushi
Student Ombuds
Adriel Ghadoushi is a JD candidate (Class of 2026) at the Law School. Originally from Los Angeles, he earned his BS in Society & Environment from UC Berkeley.
Before law school, Adriel worked in corporate sustainability and founded a nonprofit focused on civic engagement. He serves on the University Student Health Advisory Board and is passionate about making campus resources more accessible to all students.
As a Student Ombuds, Adriel offers a welcoming space where students can discuss any university-related concerns, big or small. He’s here to listen without judgment and help you explore options for moving forward in a confidential setting.
Outside of his academic and ombuds work, Adriel enjoys sharing his Persian heritage through cooking (with a plant-based twist) and traveling with his partner.

Ganon Evans
Student Ombuds
At Iowa, Ganon volunteered as a Student Advisor in the Title IX Office and helped to create awareness campaigns and review proposed policies. Ganon serves as a misconduct representative for the Academic Competition Federation, which puts on tournaments for college students. As an Ombuds, Ganon wants to empower students and help find solutions to their problems.
Before Chicago, Ganon worked at a think tank in Kansas doing fiscal policy research, educating candidates, and testifying in front of the legislature. In his free time, Ganon writes academic competitions, swims off the Point in Lake Michigan, and loves to cheer on the White Sox.
